Our Story

Josh Ogle Design, located in Durango, Colorado, specializes in creating high-end bicycle components for cyclists who appreciate exceptional design and craftsmanship. Josh began his framebuilding journey in Eugene, OR, in 1992 and for over 30 years, has been cultivating a skill set unique in the cycling industry. After over a decade of handcrafting his own frames and parts, including expanding into Jericho Bicycles in 1997, he took a hiatus from the bike industry in 2007 to expand and refine his welding and fabrication abilities building race cars, and his design and machining skills crafting luxury mechanical wristwatches. Always keeping an eye towards how those techniques and skills would let him create better bicycle designs and components. In 2017, after connecting with his friends at Firefly Bicycles, he began his return to the bicycle industry. Initially just contract machining their custom dropouts, he now collaborates with them on new, groundbreaking components, both machined and 3D printed.

Beyond the products made under the Ogle Component Design banner, we offer design, prototyping, and small-volume production services to premium brands both in and outside the cycling industry. Our in-house design and CNC machining capabilities, decades of experience, and close relationships with 3D printing companies let us bring your designs to life like few others can.
